When it comes to my career background and personal interests, my Twitter profile really says it all (in fewer than 140 characters, mind you): PR pro @Wordsworthcomm. Cincy resident by way of Dayton, Boston & London. UD, BU alumna. World traveler. Marathon runner. Craft beer enjoyer. New dog mom.
Part I: Professional Life I’m a creative, reliable and organized agency PR pro in Cincinnati. I landed in the Queen City after achieving my master’s in PR at Boston University, which included a year in Boston (next to Fenway – a dream come true), followed by an abroad internship at a PR agency in London, England (dream come true, take two).
Prior to BU, I attended the University of Dayton (go Flyers!), where I received my bachelor’s degree in journalism along with great internship and campus newspaper experience. You can view my career background on LinkedIn, but here’s an overview of my areas of experience and interest:
- Social media,
- Writing/ blogging,
- Blogger relations,
- Media relations,
- Video production, and
Part II: The Fun Stuff
If I could get paid to travel, I’d be a nomad for life. I love exploring new places, meeting people across cultures and diving into the unknown. Some of my favorite travels include Tanzania, Morocco, London, Rome, Amalfi Coast, Galway, Killarney, Interlaken … and the list goes on.
There’s something about marathon running – the thrill of pushing myself to the limit, the joy of achieving a goal – that keeps me coming back for more. After my first marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon in 2007 (3:54:31), I was hooked. Since then, I’ve completed two Columbus marathons (2012, 3:38:00 and 2013, 3:34:59 – a BQ!), the Buffalo Marathon (2014, 3:40:59) and a handful of half marathons.
I love trying and comparing new craft beers. It’s kind of hard not to when my uncle and brother both brew their own. I’m a big fan of wheat beers and IPAs. I enjoy exploring new breweries throughout the world. So far my favorite is Brooklyn Brewery … far enough away from Yankee Stadium and close enough to a great keg of one of my current (yet hard to find) favorites, the Brooklyn Weisse.
What kind of dog do you have? Let me show you a picture (or 30). I’m the very proud dog mom of Harry, my bichon poodle I rescued in October 2013. He’s a goof ball, and I’m, well, obsessed. Follow me on Instagram for regular (heart-melting) Harry happenings.
